Bethune Park

This urban neighborhood park sits adjacent to Bethune Community Elementary School (PK-5) on 12.2 acres of land overlooking an incredible view of downtown Minneapolis.

Bohanon Park

Bohanon Park has something for everyone to enjoy. There are several fields for baseball, softball or cricket, courts for basketball and tennis, a picnic area, a totlot playground and wading pool for the kids, and during the winter, an outdoor hockey rink.

Cleveland Park

Cleveland Park, located on Queen Ave. N just north of Lowry Ave. N, is adjacent to the Lucy Craft Laney at Cleveland Park Community School. With a baseball/softball field, basketball courts, wading pool and totlot playground, the neighborhood park is a big attraction for kids whether or not school is in session. Other parks nearby include Jordan Park and Folwell Park, which offers youth programs and other activities.

Cottage Park

Cottage Park is one of six clusters in north Minneapolis that is being targeted by the City of Minneapolis through a partnership with the Northside Home Fund. The area was identified as an area that would have a catalytic impact on the surrounding neighborhood if targeted by redevelopment efforts.

Creekview Park

Creekview Park and recreation center, located in the northwest corner of Minneapolis, is part of the Shingle Creek neighborhood within the larger Camden Community. The park is on the east bank of Shingle Creek, a 12-mile waterbed that is home to many small mammals and birds. Shingle Creek Park is on the west bank of the creek. The banks provide a natural environment for walking and biking paths. The bike path continues through Minneapolis and into Brooklyn Park. The total acreage for Shingle Creek Park is 67.07 acres (this includes Creekview Park). Of the 67.07 total acres for Shingle Creek Park, 7.63 acres make up Creekview Park.

Folwell Park

At 27 acres, Folwell Park is one of the largest parks in north Minneapolis. Located on Dowling Ave. N between Humboldt Ave. and Knox Ave., Folwell Park offers something for everyone. From strolling the wooded walking paths to enjoying a picnic, the park is a great place to spend a leisurely day. For more active pursuits, Folwell offers multiple softball and baseball diamonds, soccer and football fields and courts for tennis and basketball. The totlot playground and wading pool provide kids with hours of fun.

Farwell Park

Located on Farwell Place between Sheridan Ave. N and Thomas Ave. N, Farwell Park is in the Willard-Hay neighborhood, just a few blocks east from Bassett’s Creek and the Theodore Wirth Golf Club.

Harrison Park

Harrison Park is located on Irving Ave. N next to Olson Memorial Highway. A vital part of the community, the seven-acre park is adjacent to the Harrison Education Center and Harrison Neighborhood Association. The park offers a picnic area, fields for baseball, softball, football and soccer in addition to basketball courts. Other amenities at the park include a totlot playground and wading pool.

Jordan Park

Recent renovations have enhanced the park, located in the Jordan neighborhood of North Minneapolis. New playground equipment was installed and 15 shade trees were planted in the spring of 2007. The Jordan Area Community Council contributed funding for the renovations.

North Commons Park

North Commons Park and Recreation Center are located in North Minneapolis. The park features spacious grounds, beautiful scenery and many amenities, including baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, a water park, football/soccer fields, a playground and picnic areas.

North Mississippi Regional Park

Even though the freeway closely parallels the Mississippi River, you can’t see it from Interstate 94 while driving its northernmost Minneapolis mile. You may not even know the river is there. And the river isn’t all you can’t see from the freeway.

Theodore Wirth Parkway

The largest regional park in the Minneapolis Park System, Wirth Park is 759 acres of year round recreational activities and natural treasures. The park is located west of Downtown Minneapolis, technically in Golden Valley, and features a sampling of practically everything in the Minneapolis Park System.

Victory Park

Don’t miss out on the hustle and bustle at this great park in North Minneapolis. There are many things to do at Victory Park, such as play at the tot lot and playground, take a dip in the wading pool, have a picnic, play tennis or join a pick-up game of basketball.

Webber Park

Webber Pool

This facility provides all the basics needed for a fun-filled afternoon for all ages. It features a shallow water basketball hoop, weekday lap swim, three diving boards (two one-meter & one three-meter) and plenty of deck space to soak up those summer rays.
