Creekview Park and recreation center, located in the northwest corner of Minneapolis, is part of the Shingle Creek neighborhood within the larger Camden Community. The park is on the east bank of Shingle Creek, a 12-mile waterbed that is home to many small mammals and birds. Shingle Creek Park is on the west bank of the creek. The banks provide a natural environment for walking and biking paths. The bike path continues through Minneapolis and into Brooklyn Park. The total acreage for Shingle Creek Park is 67.07 acres (this includes Creekview Park). Of the 67.07 total acres for Shingle Creek Park, 7.63 acres make up Creekview Park.

At 27 acres, Folwell Park is one of the largest parks in north Minneapolis. Located on Dowling Ave. N between Humboldt Ave. and Knox Ave., Folwell Park offers something for everyone. Harrison Park is located on Irving Ave. N next to Olson Memorial Highway.
