West African Drum and Dance with a Black American Twist!

Voice of Culture Drum and Dance is an association of young artists who are dedicated to the preservation of West African arts and culture. Since 2008, Voice of Culture has created and performed contemporary drum and dance, and studied, performed and taught traditional West African drum and dance in our community. Our art is our offering to the creator, the ancestors and ourselves. Ashe!

Hopewell Music Cooperative North

Hopewell Music Cooperative is a non-profit organization founded in 2012 by professional musicians from Northern Minneapolis and throughout the Twin Cities to provide high quality music education for the Northside community. 

Hopewell offers private instruction in piano, drums, guitar and bass, violin, brass and voice. A sliding scale fee for Individual classes is based on the federal school lunch program [$20, $10, or $0 per half hour lesson]; Hopewell also offers a free instrument rental program.

Lundstrum Center

The Lundstrum Center is a group of "seasoned" musical theater professionals teaching and inspiring young artists through their craft. Five members of this veteran group are the Casserly sisters (pictured above), who inherited the Lundstrum Center (Legacy) in a "will".

Located in North Minneapolis, our mission is to cultivate a love and knowledge of the performing arts so that young people will discover their unique gifts, develop their depth of character and imagine new possibilities for their lives.

Iny Asian Dance Theater

Iny Asian Dance Theater is your local Asian dance school and have been around for more than 11 years.  Our dance theater participate in many celebration performances and cultural festivals around the Saint Paul, and Minneapolis –  the Twin Cities. Our primarily focus is Asian dances: Hmong, Chinese, Thia, and Bollywood dance style, all taught and choreographed by Internationally renowned Hmong artist – Iny Mai Vang along with a well-qualified dance coach team.

Iny Asian Dance Theater has a long history of winning 1st place titles at many Hmong New Year Dance Competitions.  We have also received well review at other dance festivals.

The Capri Theater

The Capri Theater is owned and operated by Plymouth Christian Youth Center. It is part of the PCYC campus located between West Broadway and 23rd Avenue North along Oliver Avenue. The Capri Theater is operated under PCYC’s Mission and Operating Principles.

The Capri's mission is to o enrich the skills, prospects and spirit of North Minneapolis area youth and adults, in partnership with families and communities.

Hollywood Studio Of Dance

Hollywood Studio of Dance is a 501c3 non-profit organization.  Established in 1991,Hollywood was founded on the belief that dance can positively impact a young person’s life, building character and a strong network that creates a support system away from home.

The mission of Hollywood Studio of Dance is to provide professional dance instruction in a positive, creative and supportive environment.  We exist within the community to promote life skills, self esteem, discipline and confidence for families and students of all ages and abilities.

The Warren - An Artist Habitat

The mission for The Warren is to develop a place for local artists to display their work, conduct educational meetings about their research, work and artistic techniques. In addition The Warren hopes to provide a supportive educational environment where local artists can practice their art, or just hang out and learn different perspectives about art.

Workhouse Theatre

Workhouse Theatre Company is the only independent theatre company residing and producing in North Minneapolis. Based in the Camden neighborhoods of Minneapolis, WTC produces a full season of theatre offerings. WTC collaborates with established and emerging artists to interpret plays and generate new theatrical works.
